Washington’s industrial economy is unusually diverse for a single state: aerospace manufacturing around Puget Sound, a major maritime and shipbuilding presence at the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma, agricultural production across the Columbia Basin and Yakima Valley, timber operations in the state’s western forests, and one of the largest concentrations of hyperscale data centers in the country clustered around Quincy and Wenatchee, drawn by the region’s low-cost hydroelectric power. Every one of these industries depends on hydraulic and pneumatic systems that perform reliably under demanding, often continuous-duty conditions.
Hydra-Power Systems serves Washington State from our Portland, Oregon headquarters, connected directly by I-5 to the Seattle-Tacoma metro and by I-84/I-82 into Central and Eastern Washington’s agricultural and data center corridor. That proximity, paired with our custom manifold manufacturing capability and distribution inventory, means Washington customers get the same rapid turnaround and hands-on engineering support as customers located in our home market.
For OEMs, industrial end users, and facility operators across Washington, sourcing hydraulic and pneumatic components from a Pacific Northwest-based manufacturer and distributor means shorter lead times, more responsive technical support, and a supply chain partner who understands the region’s specific operating conditions, from marine salt-air exposure on Puget Sound to the high-particulate environments of Eastern Washington agriculture. It also means a single supplier relationship can cover an operation with facilities spanning both sides of the Cascades, from a Seattle-area manufacturing plant to an Eastern Washington processing or data center site, without having to manage separate vendor relationships for each region.

Custom Hydraulic Manifold Manufacturing. Our Portland Build Center designs and machines custom integrated circuit manifolds in aluminum, stainless steel, copper, and brass, engineered to minimize pressure drop and simplify installation on the machine. Our manifold capabilities span directional control valve manifolds, pneumatic valve manifolds, proportional piston flow divider manifolds, and lift truck attachment manifolds, among others. For Washington OEMs building marine equipment, agricultural machinery, or specialty industrial systems, that means a manifold supplier close enough for direct engineering collaboration on a custom circuit design.
Component Distribution. Hydra-Power Systems is a preferred distributor for many of the industry’s most trusted hydraulic and pneumatic brands, including Sun Hydraulics, HydraForce, SMC, Muncie, Schroeder Industries, HAWE Hydraulik, Casappa, and Faster. Washington customers get access to the same inventory depth and technical application support as any customer served directly from Portland, backed by warehousing that supports same-day shipment on in-stock components.

Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs). From compact single-pump units to multi-pump, multi-function power systems, HPS designs and builds HPUs matched to the exact flow, pressure, and duty cycle requirements of the application, whether that’s a stationary industrial power source, a marine deck machinery power pack, or a unit built for the outdoor, temperature-variable conditions common in Eastern Washington agriculture.
PTO Solutions. Our PTO Specialties division outfits mobile equipment with power take-off systems engineered for the truck and equipment platforms common in agricultural transport, grain hauling, and vocational fleet applications across the state.
Electric Hybrid Solutions. As Washington fleets and OEMs look toward electrification, HPS provides electric hybrid hydraulic system design that blends conventional fluid power with electric drive components, a capability increasingly relevant given Washington’s aggressive state-level clean energy and emissions targets and the manufacturers building equipment to meet them.
Data Center Fluid Power Solutions. Washington’s Quincy-Wenatchee corridor has become one of the country’s largest data center hubs, and the liquid cooling and backup power infrastructure behind those facilities depends on fluid power components, including quick disconnect couplings, proportional valves, filtration systems, and genset monitoring, carried by HPS through our Faster, SMC, Schroeder, DMIC, Moog, and Enovation Controls product lines. Hydra-Power Systems has designed and manufactured hydraulic components and systems since 1970. Our Portland facility operates under ISO 9001:2015 certification, and our “Concept to Completion” process covers circuit design, manifold design, electrical system integration, fabrication, testing, painting, and crating, all performed in-house rather than outsourced across multiple vendors. That vertical integration means fewer handoffs, fewer opportunities for miscommunication on a custom spec, and a single point of accountability for the finished system.
For Washington customers, that translates into a manifold and component partner that can move from an initial engineering conversation to a tested, crated, ready-to-install assembly without the delays that come from coordinating design, machining, and assembly across separate vendors in separate states.
Whether you need a custom manifold engineered for a Washington-built machine, same-day shipment of in-stock hydraulic or pneumatic components, or fluid power components for a data center liquid cooling or backup power system, the Hydra-Power Systems team is ready to help.
